Meet Dr. Brett Shkopich: Behind the Practice & Patient-First Care at Life West

Born and raised in Saskatoon, Dr. Brett completed his physiology degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan before making Alberta his permanent home in 2014. When he isn't in the clinic listening to patients or planning care, you can usually find him staying active outdoors—whether that’s running daily, snowboarding in the Rockies, or spending time on the lake fishing and water skiing.

In a recent sit-down Q&A, Dr. Brett shared his thoughts on his career journey and his passion for long-term patient relationships:

• "Dentistry became appealing because it brings a lot of things together... You are working closely with people, often when they are nervous or uncomfortable, and you have a chance to make that experience better for them."
